A 1934 comedy directed by Arthur Lubin. Ellery Cushing (William Collier Sr.) works at a newspaper but gets no respect at home as all his family cares about is his paycheck. Unknown to his family, he quits his job and embarks on a secret radio career as "Uncle Dudley," a radio host who is full of catchy sayings and old-fashioned wisdom that his family listens to.
